Peoplescape is a unique Art Project created by Dalby Welcoming Community Inc. to celebrate the diversity of the community and to create a welcome.

Dalby Welcoming Community invites you to view our exciting art project for Dalby’s
2021 Delicious and DeLIGHTful Festival - the town’s signature event held in August each year to
celebrate the diversity of the community
With this year’s theme being DALBY- IT’S THE PEOPLE, this project will focus on Dalby's greatest
asset - its people! Community members and organizations will be asked to decorate a life-sized
corflute figure depicting the amazing diversity of Dalby.
The purpose of the Peoplescape project is to demonstrate that it is the people of Dalby that make
it a special place to live, work and play

Due to the cancellation of our 2021 Delicious & DeLIGHTful Festival,
Peoplescape was launched at our R U OK Day Event on the 9th September
After the event the Peoplescape was showcased around Dalby in local businesses
and at Dalby Shoppingworld

Dalby - It's the People
A celebration of Dalby and its community and those who have contributed to the region
This art project was a concept inspired by Canberra's Peoplescape art installation for the Centenary of Federation back in 2001

With just over 100 "people" decorated and created by local businesses, organisations and individuals, it was an inspiring and unique event
that showcased amazing stories, history and the diversity of our community.
​
Children were able to create their own person with smaller versions of the corflute people as they were inspired by everyone's creations
